Online Therapy

Online therapy is a method of providing psychotherapeutic support using the internet and technological means. Scientific studies have shown that it is equally effective as in-person therapy for a wide range of mental difficulties. It is a flexible and convenient method of conducting therapeutic sessions, allowing access for individuals regardless of their place of residence. Additionally, it helps individuals who may have difficulty traveling due to physical and mental issues.

To conduct online therapy, access to the internet is essential, along with the use of a technological device such as laptop, smartphone, or computer. In addition, a quiet and comfortable space where privacy can be ensured is equally important. Just like in in-person sessions, the content of the meetings is based on the same therapeutic principles and knowledge, as well as the same confidentiality rules, in accordance with the code of ethics for psychologists (see question 4 in the frequently asked questions). In the event that technical difficulties hinder the smooth conduct of online therapy, alternative ways of implementing it are sought.
