In 2003, she moved to Athens, where she completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at the Psychology Department of Panteion University. Subsequently, she attended annual training in Clinical Psychopathology at the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of Aeginiteio Hospital and on adolescent mental health issues at the Psychiatric Sector of Gennimatas General Hospital. Additionally, she volunteered at Interdisciplinary Assessment, Counseling and Support Center (KEDASY).
In 2009, she returned to Crete, where she pursued her postgraduate studies in School Psychology at the Department of Psychology of the University of Crete. She received valuable theoretical and clinical training in areas related to all aspects of child and adolescent development (emotional, behavioral, social, academic). She received training in psychological assessment and the implementation of interventions aimed at the well-being of children and adolescents in individual, family, and school settings. Additionally, she volunteered at the special needs primary school of Children and Youth Rehabilitation Center of Crete. Additionally, she received two years of training in Systemic Therapy at the Institute of Family Systemic Counseling & Therapy in Chania, which is a member of the Chamber of Educational Institutions of the European Family Therapy Association (http://efta-tic.eu/).
In 2012, she worked in the Child Care Department of the Center for the Rehabilitation of Children and Youth in Crete, a facility that accommodates children and adolescents deprived of family care. She conducted individual sessions as well as experiential groups aimed at providing psycho-emotional support and promoting social adjustment.
In 2013, she moved to Athens, where she started working at the Social Support Office of the Municipality of Amaroussion, conducting counseling and psychosocial support sessions for a wide range of vulnerable groups (single-parent/multi-child families, financially disadvantaged individuals, unemployed, people with disabilities, mentally ill, etc.).
Since 2015, she has been active in special schools, Interdisciplinary Assessment, Counseling, and Support Centers, and in the NGO Together for Children (Mazi gia to Paidi). Within these employment contexts, she has gained significant experience conducting sessions of emotional support for children, adolescents, and parents, as well as sessions of psychosocial and psychometric assessment. Additionally, she has facilitated parent and adolescent groups, while concurrently implementing interventions and programs aimed at preventing and promoting mental health within the school community.
In 2019, she completed a four-year postgraduate training in Family and Couples Systemic Therapy at the Research and University Institute of Mental Health (UMHRI & 1st Psychiatric Clinic, University of Athens - Aiginiteio Hospital), an institution that is a full member of the Chamber of Educational Institutions of the European Family Therapy Association (http://efta-tic.eu/).
In 2024, she received a diploma in Trauma Therapy using the EMDR method from the Trauma Therapy Institute that meets the standards of the international scientific association EMDRIA and is recognized by the European scientific association EMDR-Εurope , as well as EMDR-Hellas. Additionally, in the same year, she receives training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Beck Institute.
